Description

Spycerco C273TIP Cobol Titanium Bohler M390 Slip Joint

The Spyderco Cobol, designed by Paul Alexander, is a sleek, non-locking folder that blends Eastern and Western design elements.  It operates on Spyderco’s Ball Joint SlipIt mechanism, which uses dual internal spring-arms and ball bearings to hold the blade open without a formal lock.

Its blade is made from Böhler M390 stainless steel, a premium particle-metallurgy steel known for excellent edge retention, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.  The tanto-style profile with a compound bevel transitions from a saber bevel to a flat grind toward the tip, offering strong piercing strength with refined cutting ability.

The handle is made of machined titanium with integral spring arms, giving a minimalist yet robust frame that complements the non-locking design.  A reversible deep-carry wire clip supports tip-up carry in both left- and right-hand setups.

Spyderco

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. In 1981, the Glessers put down roots in Golden, Colorado and introduced the first Spyderco folding knife. That knife pioneered the concept of a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for carry at the top of the pocket, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting performance. Since then, Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry. In addition to a worldwide distribution network and manufacturing resources in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China. Those Who Know, Carry Spyderco.
