Description

Spyderco C41PGR5, Native 5 Lightweight Salt, Green FRN Handle, LC200N Plainedge Drop Point Blade

The Native® model has been a mainstay of Spyderco’s product line since its introduction in 1997. A shining example of the quality and affordability of our American-made products, it has steadily evolved to its current fifth-generation design and continues to define the state of the art in back lock folding knives. In its lightweight configuration, it has also joined our elite Salt® Series of cutting tools specifically designed for use in and around the water. This expression of the Native® 5 Lightweight Salt® features an ultra-corrosion-resistant LC200N blade and a signature high-visibility green handle. The satin-finished blade is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and includes an index-finger choil to support a forward-positioned grip during detailed cutting tasks. Its linerless handle is injection molded from fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) and includes a non-slip Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for a secure grip, even with wet hands. The handle houses the knife’s precision-machined back lock mechanism and also includes a four-position pocket clip that offers a choice of right or left-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. Available in both PlainEdge™ and SpyderEdge™ configurations, this lightweight tool delivers heavyweight cutting performance in a fearlessly corrosion-resistant package.

Spyderco

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. In 1981, the Glessers put down roots in Golden, Colorado and introduced the first Spyderco folding knife. That knife pioneered the concept of a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for carry at the top of the pocket, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting performance. Since then, Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry. In addition to a worldwide distribution network and manufacturing resources in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China. Those Who Know, Carry Spyderco.
